[ACMilan.com] UEFA has made known yesterday the dates for the UEFA Cup 2008/2009. AC Milan debut Sept. 18 in the going of the first round. The second leg, however, will be held Oct. 2. The Rossoneri will know the name of the next European opponents at 18.00 on August 29 in Monaco will be on stage when the draw for the first round. The final of the UEFA Cup 2008/2009 will be held May 20, 2009 in Istanbul all'Saraçoglu Stadium, Fenerbahce Stadium. The road to Turkey kicks off July 1 with the draw for the first qualifying round. Among the 74 participants space even with those revenue thanks to the Fair Play rankings: Manchester City, Hertha BSC Berlin and FC Nordsjælland. 27 other teams will start from the second round, including the last seven winners of the UEFA Intertoto Cup. The 32 teams will win if the other 48 (including 16 deleted from the third qualifying round of Champions League) in the group stage which will run from 23 October to 19 December. The first three groups of five, plus third in the Champions League, will participate in the knockout stages which will begin Feb. 18.
